The Public Information and Press Relations Bureau within the Proesecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to bring to the public knowledge the following:

 

The General Prosecutor from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice and the National Institute for Studying the Holocaust in Romania “Elie Wiesel” organizes today October 15th , 2014 , at the Palace of Parliament – Deputy’s Chamber, the Conference with the subject “Fighting against nazism, racism and xenophobia and the cult of persons guilty of crimes against peace and mankind”.

            At the opening of the conference works there have been present Valeriu Zgonea – President of the Deputies’ Chamber, Tiberiu Mihail Nițu – General Prosecutor at the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice, Liviu Stancu – State Secretary of the Ministry of Justice, Alexandru Florian – General Director of the National Institute for Studying the Holocaust in Romania “Elie Wiesel”.

            The Conference is part of a series of events programmed to develop within the partnership closed between the Public Ministry and the National Institute for Studying the Holocaust in Romania “Elie Wiesel” and has as purpose the achievement of the programme “Holocaust, fighting against racism and discrimination. Historical aspects and judicial implications”. Within this programme there will be organized seminars/conferences addressed to the Public Ministry where there will be examined, from a historical, politological, sociological and judicial perspective, the main concepts that the Emergency Ordinance no. 31/2002 refers to.
