The Public Information and Press Relations Bureau within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to bring to public knowledge the following:

At the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Trial Court Targu Jiu has been constituted, today, 30.07.2012, a criminal cause in which are carried out investigations regarding a traffic accident occurred in the municipality of Targu – Jiu.

From the first investigations it resulted that on 28.07.2012, around 13⁴⁹ hours, a car driver collided with a bicycle  driven  by the minor T.O.M. (aged 13 years), causing the minor injury of  this one.

The injured party was transported to the County Hospital Targu Jiu for medical care.

After causing of the traffic accident, the car driver left the scene without the  approval of the  police bodies.

The investigation continues in order to clarify all factual circumstances and to establish the criminal  responsibility.
