PRESS RELEASE

The Public Information and Press Relations Bureau within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to bring to public knowledge the following:

Prosecutors from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Buzău Tribunal submitted to the Court a request for the pretrial arrest of the minor defendant D.D.C. (aged 17) for attempted murder in the first degree.

The magistrates of the Buzău Tribunal granted the prosecutors’ request and ordered a pretrial arrest warrant for 19 days.

The evidence produced in this case so far has revealed that on April 30, 2011 the minor defendant D.D.C. hit the victim S.G. with a wooden board on the head causing life threatening lesions.

Investigations are carried out to clarify all the circumstances of the case and establish the criminal liability.
