PRESS RELEASE

The Public Information and Press Relations Bureau within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to bring to public knowledge the following:

On 25.06.2012, on the Prosecutor’s Office attached to Târgu-Jiu Court of Law docket, a criminal case regarding the perpetration of the offences of illegal deprivation of liberty and sexual corruption was registered.

As the first information regarding the case revealed, on 21.06.2012, a man attempted to sexually abuse an underage girl  (age 7), whom he allured in a less populated area situated at the city  margins.

The investigations are undergoing in order to determine all the circumstances of the case and to establish the judicial responsibility.
