The Public Information and Press Relations Bureau within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to bring to public knowledge the following:

On 20.07.2012, prosecutors within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Arad Tribunal have indicted ROCHNEAN IOAN (detained in preventive arrest), for perpetrating the offence of rape.

The evidence administered in the case, during the stage of the criminal investigation, revealed the fact that, on the night of 19.06.2012, the defendant has engaged into having intercourse several times with the underage victim N.N.R. (age 10), by physical coercion and taking advantage of the fact that she was not able to express her consent.

The file has been forwarded to the Arad Tribunal for the competent settlement.
