The Public Information and Press Relations Bureau within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to bring to public knowledge the following:

On July 18, 2012, prosecutors from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Vaslui Tribunal launched the criminal prosecution of the defendant Constanţa LUPU for very serious murder.

The evidence produced in the case during the criminal investigation showed that the defendant Constanţa Lupu hit the minor L.I.A. (her niece aged nine months) several times on the head with a piece of wood, producing lesions that caused the infant’s death.

The case falls under the jurisdiction of the Vaslui Tribunal.
