PRESS RELEASE

The Information and Press Release Bureau within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to let the public opinion the following:

Within the Prosecutor`s Office attached to the Tribunal of Maramures it was registered a case regarding the criminal investigation of the circumstances related to the death of a new born.

The preliminary evidence shows that during the morning of September 12^th 2012, while in her home in a village in Maramures County, the mother, after giving birth to a boy, has killed him.

The criminal investigation is ongoing in order to establish the circumstances of the crime and to correctly asses the criminal charges.
