The Public Information and Press Relations Bureau within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to bring to public knowledge the following:

Prosecutors from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Ialomiţa Tribunal closed the indictment against the defendant Corneliu Alexandru CROITORU, launching the criminal prosecution of the defendant under pretrial arrest for sexual corruption and attempted rape.

The evidence produced in the case during the criminal investigation showed that, on May 20, 2011, the defendant Corneliu Alexandru Croitoru performed obscene acts on the minor Z.R.I. and, on October 14, 2011 and April 23, 2012, attempted to have sexual intercourse under threat with the minors R.Ş.I. and C.O.A. (both aged 7).

The case falls under the jurisdiction of the Ialomiţa Tribunal.
