PRESS RELEASE

The Public Information and Press Relations Bureau within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to bring to public knowledge the following:

Prosecutors within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Tribunal Alba ordered, today, 12.04.2012, the apprehension  of the offenders S.A. (aged 17 years) and S.L.C (aged 14 years) for attempted aggravated murder, robbery and trespass.

The evidence administrated in the case, until the actual moment of the criminal prosecution, has revealed  the following state of affairs:

In the evening of 06.04.2012, the minor offenders together with an adult offender, entered unlawful  in the home of the injured person C.G. (aged 77 years) within a township in Alba county, aiming to  steal goods. Being caught by the injured person, the offenders reacted violent, beating her body repeatedly with fists and feet, preponderant in the area of her head and causing her serious injuries, which put her life at danger, after which they stole a mobile phone , a bank card and the amount of 16 lei. 

Presently there are ongoing two  house searches, and the major charged shall be heard.  The investigations were carried  out with the support of the  officers within the  Police Inspectorate of Alba County and of the General Directorate for Information and Domestic Protection.

Until this moment of the investigations, two of the three offenders have been retained and the investigations are ongoing, the third offender being presently heard by the prosecutors.

In the case the prosecutors shall dispose the necessary procedural measures regarding all three defendants, including under the aspect of notifying today the Tribunal Alba with  a proposal for their pre-trial confinement.

During the  carrying out of the investigations, we shall inform the public.
