PRESS RELEASE

The Public Information and Press Relations Bureau within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to bring to public knowledge the following:

            Prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to Bacău Tribunal ordered, by indictment, the sending to court of the defendant LUPU GHEORGHE for having perpetrated the offence of rape.

            From the evidence administered in the case, during the prosecution, it was revealed the fact that, during the period of 2009 – march 2012, due to the consumption of alcoholic drinks, the defendant had intercourse, by coercion, with the injured part D.I.A. (his niece), now aged 15.

            The file was handed to Bacău Tribunal for competent settlement.
