PRESS RELEASE

The Public Information and Press Relations Bureau within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to bring to public knowledge the following:

Prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to Galaţi Tribunal requested the court the preventive arrest of the defendant OPRIN DANIEL (being in detention) for perpetrating the offence of rape.

Magistrates of Galaţi Tribunal accepted the prosecutor’s request and ordered the issuance of a preventive arrest warrant, in the defendant’s name, for a period of 29 days.

From the administered evidence, up to this moment of prosecution, it resulted the fact that, during June 2010 – February 2011, by threat (moral constraint), he repeatedly had intercourse with the underaged B.Z (14 years old).

Investigations are underway in order to determine all the circumstances of the case and to establish the judicial responsibility.

Prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to Maramureş Tribunal requested the court the preventive arrest of the defendant VINŢ IOAN VASILE for perpetrating the offence of rape, incest and attemptive to aggravated murder.

Magistrates of Maramureş Tribunal accepted the prosecutor’s request and ordered the issuance of a preventive arrest warrant, in the defendant’s name, for a period of 29 days.

From the administerred evidence, up to this moment of prosecution, it resulted that, on 02.05.2012, the defendant Vinţ Ioan Vasile had itercourse with the underaged V.I.E.  (his daughter aged 2 years and three months), causing injuries that endangered her life.

Investigations are underway in order to determine all the circumstances of the case and to establish the judicial responsibility.
