PRESS RELEASE

The Public Information and Press Relations Bureau within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to bring to public knowledge the following:

            A criminal case investigating the incident during which a minor died crushed by a collapsed floor was docketed at the Târgu Jiu Local Court on January 11, 2012.

            The preliminary investigation revealed that, on January 10, 2012, around 3:00 PM, while two minors were stealing scrap from a dismantled building belonging to a company in the locality of Rovinari, one of them was crushed under the floor of the building.

            Investigations are carried out to clarify the circumstances and establish the legal liability.
