PRESS RELEASE

The Public Information and Press Relations Bureau within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to bring to public knowledge the following:

Prosecutors within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to Trial court Timisoara ordered the initiating of the criminal action  and requested, at same time, the pretrial arrest of the defendant NAGY EDUARD (apprehended)  for committing the offences of rape and trespassing.

            The magistrates from the Trial court Timisoara admitted the proposal of the prosecutors and ordered the issuing of a pretrial arrest warrant, on the name of the defendant, for a period of 29 days.

            From the evidence brought into the cause until this moment of the criminal prosecution, resulted the following factual situation:

            In the night of ½.09.2012, around 04.⁰⁰,  the defendant entered unlawfully  in the house of the injured person H.R. (minor) where,  after he  hit her  several times, he forced her into sexual acts.

            Following the  violence exerted  by the defendant, the injured person  suffered wounds,  for the healing of which were necessary 6 -7 days of medical care.

            The investigations are ongoing in order to clarify all the factual circumstances and to establish the  judicial liability.
