The Public Information and Press Relations Bureau within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to bring to public knowledge the following:

 

On March 1, 2012, prosecutors from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Timiº Tribunal submitted to court a request for the pretrial arrest of the defendant Neculae HOARÞÃ for rape.

The magistrates from the Timiº Tribunal granted the prosecutors’ request and ordered the pretrial arrest of the defendant for 29 days.

The evidence produced so far by the criminal investigation in this case has revealed the following:

On February 24, 2012, the defendant, taking advantage of the victims’ age-specific innocence, lured the minor Z.M.M. who was going home from school to have a sexual intercourse with him promising him in exchange the amount of 10 lei. The defendant also filmed the act.

Investigations are carried out to clarify all the circumstances of the case and establish the legal liability.
