PRESS RELEASE

The Public Information and Press Relations Bureau within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to bring to public knowledge the following:

Prosecutors from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Maramureş Tribunal closed the indictment for the prosecution, under pretrial arrest, of the defendant Tibor SZABO for rape.

The evidence produced in this case during the criminal investigation showed that the defendant had repeated sexual relations with his son (aged 7) between July and December 2011.

The case falls under the jurisdiction of the Maramureş Tribunal.
