PRESS RELEASE

The Public Information and Press Relations Bureau within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to bring to public knowledge the following:

Prosecutors within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to Tribunal Galati, disposed, by bill of indictment, the sending before court of the minor defendant L.M.  (under  pre-trial custody), as well as of the defendant MARDARE NECULAI EUGEN (arrested in absence) for committing the  offence of  first-degree  murder attempt.

From the evidence brought into the cause during the criminal pursuit,  it resulted that on 03.06.2012, following a conflict, the defendants L.M and Mardare Neculai Eugen,  applied to the injured party R.G. numerous  hits with  blunt objects (fists and feet), including on vital areas, causing her  traumatic injuries (total right pneumothorax, respiratory failure, broken rib 10 right) which  put  her life in danger.

The file has been  forwarded, for competent solution, to the Tribunal Galati.
