PRESS RELEASE

The Public Information and Press Relations Bureau within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to bring to public knowledge the following:

A criminal case investigating a fire that broke out in a building in the village of Tuluceşti, Galaţi County, on October 26, 2011 around 11:25 AM, causing the death of two minors and the bodily injury of a third minor, was docketed at the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Galaţi Local Court.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the probable cause of the fire was the use of lighting sources (matches) by the three minors left unsupervised in the building.

Investigations are carried out to clarify the actual circumstances and establish the legal liability.
