PRESS RELEASE

The Public Information and Press Relations Bureau within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to bring to public knowledge the following:

        A criminal case investigating the pushing out of a moving train of a teenage girl has been docketed today, July 29, 2011, at the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Timiş Tribunal.

        The preliminary investigation revealed that, on the evening of July 28, 2011, while she was on the train rolling on the route between Lugoj and Margina, the victim A.M.A. was pushed out of the train and robbed of her mobile phone by AFLAT ALEX CORNELIU.

The prosecutors ordered the institution of legal proceedings against the accused Aflat Alex Corneliu and that he be taken into custody for attempted murder and robbery.

        The defendant is going to appear today before the Magistrates of the Timiş Tribunal with a proposal of a 29-day pretrial arrest.
