The Public Information and Press Relations Bureau within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to bring to public knowledge the following:

Prosecutors from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Timiş Tribunal have finalized the investigations in the case concerning the teenager girl who was thrown out of a running train, ordering the prosecution of the defendant Alex Corneliu AFLAT for attempted murder.

The evidence produced during the criminal investigation has revealed that, on the evening of July 28, 2011, while traveling on a train running on the route Lugoj – Margina, the injured party A.M.A. was pushed out of the train by the defendant who also stole her mobile phone. When falling, she managed to grab the defendant’s T-shirt, pulling him down with her out of the moving train. The defendant then stood up and continued to hit her on the head and all over her body with stones and kick her with his legs.

The case falls under the jurisdiction of the Timiş Tribunal.
