PRESS RELEASE

The Public Information and Press Relations Bureau within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to bring to public knowledge the following:

On October 18, 2011, prosecutors from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Vaslui Tribunal closed the indictment for the prosecution of the defendant Marius LUCA for 2 acts of rape against a minor.

The evidence produced in the case during the criminal investigation showed that the defendant used violence to have sexual intercourse twice with the injured party B.C. (aged 13), taking advantage of the fact that the latter was spending the night at his house where she had come to help his concubine with the housework.

The case falls under the jurisdiction of the Vaslui Tribunal.
