The Public Information and Press Relations Bureau within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to bring to public knowledge the following:

On December 16, 2011, prosecutors from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Maramureş Tribunal ordered a 10-hour custodial arrest of the defendant P.S.V. (aged 15) for first degree murder. A request for a 15-day custodial arrest has been submitted for the defendant who is appearing before the court today.

The evidence produced so far by the criminal investigation has shown that, on December 15, 2011, around 6:00 PM, following a controversy, the defendant P.S.V. stabbed his father with a kitchen knife (the left precordial area), inflicting lesions that caused the latter’s death.

Investigations are carried out to clarify all the circumstances and establish the legal liability.
