PRESS RELEASE

The Public Information and Press Relations Bureau within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to bring to public knowledge the following:

A criminal case investigating the offence of assault and battery against a minor was docketed at the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the District 3 Local Court.

Preliminary investigations revealed that, on September 15, 2011, around 10:00 a.m., during a brake at the “Benjamin Franklin” High School, the injured party (a school student) was approached by two individuals following a previous dispute. One of the two hit the minor on the head with the handle of a pocketknife, while the other kicked him repeatedly in the face with his legs and fists.

Investigations are carried out to clarify all the actual circumstances and to determine the legal liability.
