PRESS RELEASE

The Public Information and Press Relations Bureau within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to bring to public knowledge the following:

On December 16, 2011, prosecutors from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to District 1 Local Court closed the indictment for the prosecution under pretrial arrest of the defendant Dan-Octavian VIŞAN for sexual intercourse with a minor (2 material acts).

The evidence produced during the criminal investigation revealed the following:

The defendant (a teacher at a high school in the capital city) organized a trip to Predeal between October 28 – 30, 2011, during which he had two sexual intercourses with the injured party R.O.R. (aged 17), one of his students at the high school where the defendant was teaching.

The case falls under the jurisdiction of the District 1 Local Court.
