PRESS RELEASE

The Public Information and Press Relations Bureau within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to bring to public knowledge the following:

A criminal file investigating the accused A.I. (a minor) for complicity to forgery in official deeds, identity fraud and illegal border crossing was docketed at the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Arad Local Court.

The evidence produced in the case so far has shown that the minor helped forge a Romanian identity card which she used on September 30, 2011 to identify herself when she illegally crossed the Romanian state border into Hungary.

On October 10, 2011, the accused tried to illegally cross back the border into Romania at the same border crossing point but was held by the Hungarian authorities and later surrendered to the Romanian authorities.

Investigations are carried out to clarify all the actual circumstances of the case and establish the legal liability.
