PRESS RELEASE

The Public Information and Press Relations Bureau within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to bring to public knowledge the following:

A criminal file investigating a case of sexual intercourse with a minor was docketed at the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Arad Local Court on November 9, 2011.

The preliminary investigations revealed that the minor, who has been placed in the care of her maternal grandparents following a court decision, had consensual sexual intercourse with an individual whom she has met this summer.

Investigations are carried out to clarify all the actual circumstances and establish the criminal liability.

The preliminary investigations showed that the minor (aged 14), who had been placed in the care of her mother following the divorce of her parents, left her home to go and live with her boyfriend.

Investigations are carried out to clarify all the actual circumstances and determine the legal liability.
