The Public Information and Press Relations Bureau within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to bring to public knowledge the following:

The prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to Fălticeni Local Court, continuing the investigations in the criminal case having as subject the stabbing of a teenager by his mother, requested the instance on August 9, 2011 to make the preventive arrest of the defendant MANOLACHE NELA MARICICA under the terms of perpetrating the crimes of ill treatment applied to the juvenile, injury and other violent acts.

The magistrates of Fălticeni Local Court have approved the request of the prosecutors and ordered the preventive arrest of the defendant Manolache Nela Maricica for a period of 29 days.

We recall that in the evening of August 7, 2011 due to the alcohol consumption, she stabbed her juvenile child M.L.I (aged twelve) with a knife, provoking wounds that needed 8-9 days of medical care for the cure, given that, previously, in a repetitive way, she exercised violent acts over the three children of hers, among which the juvenile concerned.
