PRESS RELEASE

The Public Information and Press Relations Bureau within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to bring to public knowledge the following:

A criminal file investigating the traffic accident that took place on August 6, 2011 in the town of Comăneşti resulting in the death of a minor aged 5 was docketed at the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Moineşti Local Court on August 9, 2011.

The preliminary investigations revealed that, while running across the Republicii Street on the pedestrian crossing, the minor was hit by a taxi and died shortly after.

Further investigations are carried out to determine the factual circumstances and the legal liability.
