PRESS RELEASE

The Public Information and Press Relations Bureau within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to bring to public knowledge the following:

A criminal case investigating the traffic accident that occurred on November 24, 2011 in the locality of Baloteşti, was docketed at the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Buftea Local Court.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the traffic accident that occurred on the above-mentioned date around 7:40 PM resulted in the bodily injury of the minor D.M.A. (aged 14).

The minor was crossing the street correctly, on a properly marked and signaled crosswalk, when she was hit and injured by a car running from Bucharest to Polieşti. She was taken to the „Grigore Alexandrescu” Hospital where she was diagnosed with right femur fracture and right leg and pelvis concussion, and was given proper medical care.

Investigations are carried out to clarify all the actual circumstances and establish the criminal liability.
