PRESS RELEASE

The Public Information and Press Relations Bureau within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to bring to public knowledge the following:

A criminal case investigating the case of a teenager (aged twelve) who was stabbed by his mother was docketed at the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Fălticeni Local Court on August 8, 2011.

        The preliminary investigation revealed that, on August 7, 2011, around 6:30 p.m., while in the kitchen together with his mother, the teenager M.L.I. asked his mother to prepare him his supper. The latter, being under the influence of alcohol, took a knife from the table and stabbed him in the abdomen. The teenager was taken to the Fălticeni Municipal Hospital where he was diagnosed with “abdominal stab wound”, a non life-threatening wound.

        Investigations are carried out to determine the circumstances of the act and the legal liability.
