PRESS RELEASE

The Public Information and Press Relations Bureau within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to bring to public knowledge the following:

The prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Tulcea Court have ordered the prosecution of the defendant PAVEL PETRE in terms of perpetrating the offence of aggravated attempt of murder.

Of the evidence administered during the criminal proceedings, it was shown that, during the evening of 22.11.2010, the defendant, annoyed by the fact that the juvenile P.V. (his son, 7 moths aged) was crying, he grabbed him by the legs and slammed him to the bed, hoping that he would stop. Wile slamming the baby to the bed, he was hit in the area of the head by the back side (board) of the bed, the infant falling into a III-IV degree coma,  and thus remained for several days.

Forensic examination determined that the life of the 7 months infant was jeopardized by meninges haemorrhaging which required a complex medical treatment under hospitalization.

On 9.11.2011 the defendant Pavel Petre has been discovered, on which occasion he was detained by the prosecutor for a 24 hours period, and during the day of 9.11.2011 he was presented to Tulcea Court with preventive arrest proposal, that was accepted, date on which the investigations continued with the defendant in custody.

The case file was submitted, for competent settlement to Tulcea Court.

The prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to Râmnicu Vâlcea Local Court ordered, on 12.05.2011, the indictment, in state of preventive arrest of the defendants STOICA ALEXE and TALMACIU PAUL CONSTANTIN  in terms of perpetrating the offense of qualified robbery.

The evidence administered during the criminal proceedings, revealed the following facts:

On 05.11.2011, the two defendants have pursued minors D.F.C and F.G.A. (both aged 14 ), in the area of Râmnicu Vâlcea municipality, and when they saw that they could not be observed by any person, they exercised violence acts upon them with the purpose of stealing a cell phone from the possession of F.G.A juvenile, object that was appropriated, causing a damage estimated at 2,100 lei.

The file was submitted, for competent settlement, to Râmnicu Vâlcea Court.
