The Public Information and Press Relations Bureau within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to bring to public knowledge the following:

A criminal case investigating the food poisoning of several preschool children was docketed on November 3, 2011 at the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Baia Mare Local Court.

The preliminary investigation showed that, on November 2, 2011, a few hours after lunch, the children from a kindergarten in the town shoed symptoms of food poisoning. The minors were taken to the County Emergency Hospital “Dr. Constantin Opriş” in Baia Mare where they were examined and 10 of them were hospitalized.

Investigations are carried out to clarify all the actual circumstances and establish the criminal liability.
