The Public Information and Press Relations Bureau within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to bring to public knowledge the following:

On October 28, 2011, prosecutors from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Buftea Local Court closed the indictment for the prosecution of the defendant Sorin-Florin CALOTĂ for sexual intercourse with a minor.

The evidence produced in the case during the criminal investigation showed that, in July 2008, the defendant had sexual intercourse with the minor D.A.E. although he was aware that she was 13 years old.

The case falls under the jurisdiction of the Buftea Local Court.

Prosecutors from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Şimleu Silvaniei Local Court closed the indictment for the prosecution of the defendant Ioan Alin FLOREA (aged 38) for sexual intercourse with a minor.

The evidence produced in the case during the criminal investigation revealed that the defendant met the minor P.R. (aged 13) in the fall of 2010. They met several times, until the minor’s mother learned about their relation and forbade it. As a result, the two stopped seeing each other until the summer of 2011 when, on the evening of August 12, unknown to her mother, the minor invited the defendant to her place were they had sexual intercourse.

The case falls under the jurisdiction of the Şimleu Silvaniei Local Court.
