Prosecutor's Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice

On 11.01.2013  has taken place a meeting of the first – prosecutors of the prosecutor’s offices  attached to  tribunals, of the general prosecutor’s of the prosecutor’s offices attached to courts of appeal, of the chief prosecutors of the National Anticorruption Directorate and the Directorate for Investigating Offences of Organized Crime and Terrorism, the leadership of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice and the members of the  Section  for prosecutors within the Superior Council of Magistrature, in the context of the concern expressed by the majority of the professional body of prosecutors on the occasion of the  consultation, on 10.01.2013, regarding the statements appeared in the public space about the imminence of  changes connected with the position and the role of the prosecutor.

 The participants decided unanimously, based on  the mandate entrusted by the professional body of prosecutors, that the Prosecutor's Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice and the Section  for prosecutors within the Superior Council of Magistrature address a  request to the Romanian Government for detailing the references within the Governance Program about the legislative measures for “Clarification of the statute of prosecutors and the role of the Public Ministry related to the  constitutional provisions.”
