The Public Information and Press Relations Bureau within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice is authorized to bring to public knowledge the following:

 

 

 

The General Assembly of State Parties of the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) took place in Vienna on November 29 – 30, 2012.

On this occasion, Mr. Daniel Marius Morar, First Deputy to the Prosecutor General of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice of Romania was elected member of the IACA Board of Governors.

The International Anti-Corruption Academy is an international organization with a constituency of 58 member states and 3 international organizations, its mission being to deliver anti-corruption practical training and education, to carry out scientific research studies, to grant technical assistance, and to promote international cooperation in this area.

The IACA Board of Governors includes 11 members, 9 appointed by the Assembly itself, and 2 by the UNODC (United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime) and Austria. According to procedure rules, the Board members act pro bono, on their own behalf, and meet at least once a year to adopt strategies, operation rules, to appoint a dean and approve the Academy’s budget.
